most prestigious horse shows including Devon, Harrisburg, Washington International, Capital Challenge, Hampton Classic and Upperville Horse Shows.  She also has officiated at the ASPCA Maclay Finals, USEF Medal Finals, New England Equitation Finals, and Royal Winter Fair in Toronto.

Dedicated to the horse community, Julie sits on the USHJA board of directors, chairs the USEF continuing education and USHJA officials committees, and serves on several USEF committees. They include the National Hunter, Licensed Officials, Zone 10 Jumper, Equitation Task Force, Emerging Athlete Program, and Trainer Symposium Committees. Further, She is an active participant in the USHJA trainer certification program.

Julie’s career has been filled with training and showing top level, national and international hunter and jumper champions, winning multiple Grand Prix and hunter competitions. In addition to giving clinics around the country, Julie writes Practical Horseman’s monthly column “Conformation Clinic”.

Owner and operator of the 150-acre training, sales and breeding facility, Maplewood Stables, Julie stands her two Grand Prix jumpers-Osilvis and Cartouche Z.
